CDC ORISE Public Health Informatics Summer Intern 2026

The CDC's Center for Surveillance, Epidemiology, and Laboratory Services is hiring a Summer 2026 ORISE intern to support public health informatics projects, including modernizing electronic case reporting and strengthening interoperability of syndromic surveillance data. Responsibilities include writing and reviewing FHIR-based data specifications, running SQL queries against CDC data lakes, building dashboards in Tableau or Power BI, and documenting data quality findings. Paid stipend, onsite in Atlanta, GA with hybrid flexibility. Applicants should have coursework in informatics, epidemiology, computer science, or public health and familiarity with SQL and Python.
