Software Engineer, Intern (Summer and Winter)

Stripe seeks Software Engineer Interns to work on meaningful projects within its financial infrastructure platform. Every internship at Stripe centers around a real, legitimate project that customers urgently need. Key responsibilities include developing production software with measurable impact to Stripe's operations, participating in code reviews and design discussions, working cross-functionally with engineers and stakeholders, and learning rapidly through mentorship and clear communication. Minimum requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in progress (computer science, math, or related field); programming experience via coursework or projects; proficiency in Java, Ruby, JavaScript, Scala, or Go preferred; prior internship or multi-person project experience; ability to learn unfamiliar systems independently. Preferred: at least 2 years university education or equivalent; experience writing quality pull requests with strong test coverage; clear written communication skills. Annual US base salary $123,500 with equity, bonus, 401(k), medical/dental/vision, wellness stipends. Most internships are 12 or 16 weeks. Hub offices include South San Francisco, Seattle, and New York.
