Software Engineering Intern, PhD, Summer 2026 at Google. This position is intended for students currently pursuing a PhD degree program in Computer Science or a related field. As a PhD intern, you will research, design, develop and test cutting-edge software solutions for complex, large-scale problems across one of Google's product areas, including AI/ML, infrastructure, search, cloud, ads, or platforms. Minimum qualifications: currently enrolled in a PhD degree program in Computer Science or related technical field; experience with software development in one or more programming languages; experience with data structures or algorithms. Preferred qualifications include experience in systems, networking, machine learning, distributed systems, compilers, or other specialized areas; strong publication record; and ability to communicate technical ideas effectively. 12-14 week paid internship.
