Google is hiring Software Engineering Interns for Summer 2026. As an intern, you will research, create, and develop software applications to extend and improve on Google's product offering. You'll work across natural language processing, AI, machine learning, and search technologies while collaborating across teams on scalability challenges. Minimum qualifications: currently enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field; proficiency with at least one general-purpose programming language (Java, C/C++, Python, JavaScript, Go, etc.). Preferred qualifications: penultimate academic year or returning to a degree program after completion of the internship; experience with three or more languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Kotlin, Go, Python, TypeScript; background in web development, Unix/Linux, mobile apps, distributed systems, machine learning, NLP, networking, or security. The internship is 12-14 weeks paid with personal and professional development, executive speaker series, and community-building.
