California Department of Justice Student Legal Internship

The California Department of Justice, Office of the Attorney General is hiring law student interns and student assistants for Summer 2026. Interns support Deputy Attorneys General across divisions including Civil Rights Enforcement, Consumer Protection, Healthcare Rights and Access, Criminal, Public Rights, and Land Use/Conservation. Responsibilities include legal research, drafting memoranda, reviewing discovery, supporting litigation, and policy analysis. Positions are located in Sacramento, Oakland, Los Angeles, and San Diego. Some positions are paid student assistantships while law student positions may be volunteer or externship-based.
