AEI's Economic Policy Studies department is hiring a Summer 2026 intern for a full-time, in-person paid internship at the AEI headquarters in Washington, DC. The intern will work with resident scholars on research covering tax policy, fiscal policy, labor economics, housing, and trade. Responsibilities include gathering and cleaning data, running economic models, literature reviews, drafting short commentary, and event support. The program runs either May 26-August 21 or June 2-August 28, 2026. Competitive candidates have a 3.5+ GPA, coursework in economics, and quantitative skills in Stata, R, or Python.
